Special Families are a charity that provides information, support, advice, activities and friendship to families with children and adults who have a disability.

Special Events

Special exclusive events for our members and the whole family, these could be Discos, Gaming Marathons, Fun days and sessions from outside organisations

 

Coffee Mornings

Regular Coffee morning for our members & the community offering a safe place to talk and get advice from us and other members 

Bus Trips

Exclusive for our members, we set up bus trips in the summer to theme parks, events and days out for the whole family

Specialised Links

We have developed links with many other professional services for our members. These include Social Services, BCBC, LCC, other local organisations.

 

Sensory Room

We have specialised S.E.N rooms for any need, theses include a large main hall, sensory room, gaming room

We are on hand 5 days a week if you need a chat give us a call. we run regular sessions for exclusive members to join from as little as £3. Everything from craft to dance is available through special families

We were so proud and please to be recognised for all the hard work our volunteers do with out them none of this would be possible.

Community Support

Specialist community support for anyone that needs it. We offer a range of support including shopping, wellbeing checks & calls, errands and Food bank vouchers

We host a regular coffee morning for the community offering a safe place for people to chat, get help , play Bingo and enjoy a quiz.

Second Hand Sales

We are accepting donations for our Special Sales Charity shop. we re-sell donated items to raise money for the charity. You will find us on facebook page special sales.

Unique Fitness have been so kind in allowing us to use thier facilitys to improve the lives of our members by getting fit and active

Food Bank

We are a distributer of food bank vouchers for the community if your in need of one please give us a call and we will do our best to help you out

Caerau Men's Shed

We have been working closely with other local organisations including Caerau Men’s Shed who we have close ties with and are always willing to help

LCC

Since the beginning of COVID-19 our connection with our Local Community  Co-ordinator has allowed us to access services for our clients that might not have been readily available and opened up brand new opportunities for SFM
